Barcelonaaaaaa
Yesterday we ventured out into Barcelona...bought a train ticket that lets
us take 10 trips and we can both use it...worked out alot cheaper. We went
to the Sagrada Familia Temple which is a work in process, started by Gaudi.
It was amazing, the architecture and design is unbelievable, its based on a
forest so the pllars are like trees and the canopy and decorated etc. It
was great, i loved it!! then we went Park Guell which is also crazy cool!!
After that we went back downtown and wandered around for a while, went to
the Block of Discord which has Gaudi's house , also unbelievably crazy
looking! We decided that we should maybe do some shopping haha its been 3 weeks since we were home and shopping so it was time ha. I really splurged and bought a pair of capris on sale for 8euros. Big deal.
We came home via a grocery store where we bought a bottle of vodka and some coke...bring on the good times :). We stopped on the way back and got a cider at a little Irish pub along the way, watched England lose to France and then went home.
Hung out in the hostel, our room mate had her laptop stolen so we basically made sure everything was locked up...whoever stole it broke the locker so if they wanted to do it again they could I guess. Don't know who it was obviously but we have a sketchy room mate...who knows.
Anyways, we drank in the hostel for a while with people who came here with us from Nice, then we went out to the bars. Met some people, a couple of guys from Sweden, and to be completely honest I don't remember the night and I didn't take pictures which is weird.
Today we got up and took the train the the olympic stadium ('92) which was almost as empty as Athens but it was kind of cool. From there we walked around, towards the port, saw Chris'/XL Video's stage crew for George Michael's opening concert of his new tour, went to the train station and booked beds on the overnight train to Seville tomorrow night. Wandered around some more, went to an internet place and booked Hostel Florida (ha) in Seville, came back to our hostel, we have new room mates- obnoxious Americans from Florida.
This city is soooo frickin loud its unbelievable, there's tons of construction all over the place and its just sooo loud.
I need a nap.
