The Chance of a Lifetime...

Rome Tuesday!

Looking back we should have stayed in Santorini Sunday night and most of Monday and then back to Athens, but oh well.
Also, there were soo many police around yesterday and the aussie girls pointed out it was 9/11 so that makes sense...pretty much lost track of date and time :)
Anyways,
Dave and I got up reaaallly early Tuesday, took a cab to the bus station and then a bus to the airport...on the bus we met 3 guys from CA who were also going on the flight to Rome. So we talked to them, checked in and all that junk, no security really, well there was but it wasn't a big deal like in the states- hooray.
The flight was only 2 hours and we got fed!! Yay!! We arrived, met up with the boys again, got our bags, found the train and took it to Termini- the main station in Rome. Then we followed, well showed the boys the way to their hostel, they were pretty useless with direction. We were going to try and stay there- Yellow- because several people had reccomended it to us butttt it was full! Boo! So Dave and I wandered around and found another hostel, its not that nice, but it will do for tonight. We found a new hostel for tomorrow night but we might try and leave here tomorrow night...hmm.
Today we went to the Colloseum and wandered around the city, tonight we went to the Spanish steps and around some more of the city so tomorrow we only have the Vatican to do...Rome in a day and a half, we're pro's now!! Haha
Its actually pretty difficult changing cities, we just got comfortable in Athens, and knew our way around, and now we're in a different country and another crazy city! But at least the maps here are up to date, unlike the 200 year old maps of Athens- someone should get on that and re-map Athens!!!
