Why do Asians always hold up the peace sign in photos?

I'm currently sitting in Piazza della Signoria, by the replica statue of David...beat that!! Ha.
Its raining today- again- which kind of sucks but its kind of nice too, although the millions of umbrellas are lethal.
Yesterdat Dave and I walked accross the Arno to Piazzale Michelangelo, hiked up to an amazing view of the city, then went further to Chiesa di San Miniato al Monte- a beautiful little church at the top of a hill...more amazing views, and very peaceful. We hung out up there for a while then headed back down into town. We met up with Patrick- a guy we ran into the night before, then grabbed some lunch. The 3 of us then went to the Uffizi Gallery (where I once again got a discount for being English!! Hooray!! Dave wasn't happy!) The gallery actually isn't that big which is good because I lose attention pretty fast. We saw The Birth of Venus which is pretty much all I wanted to see...its beautiful!
After that Dave and I walked through the market and headed back to the hostel. I switched rooms- into the same one as Dave, then took a nap :) naps are good! Woke up and did some laundry while Dave went back to where we were earlier in the day to see the sunset. Last night we hung out for a while and then decided to go to the bar down the street for some ciders...went out after that but weren't out too long, it was dead, no one was out!! Strange.
This morning we woke up to another amazing breakfast made by Clara, including a delicious lemon cake!! She rocks!! This hostel is by far the best ever!! We're going to have high expectations now! After eating, we went back to bed for a while...we decided to stay here another night because the hostels in Cinque Terre are all booked. So today we're just chillin. Dave is going to the Academia Gallery but I'm just going to hang out arund town for a while. Maybe we'll have a wild night out tonight?
PEACE! Haha.
