The Chance of a Lifetime...

Durango..

We finally made it to Durango at about 11pm... After we figured out the time was wrong on the navigation, time flew by. We met up w/ JT's friend Adam for a quick second then headed to the camp site. Had a drink and crawled into bed.
Sunday I woke up and stepped out of the RV, its was absolutely beautiful!!! We got up and went and ate breakfast- pancakes, eggs, sausage.. Made by the campsite, yummy!! Adam came up to see us.. We ate some lunch and then headed out for a hike. We went to the Cascades I think, and hiked down to a waterfall, jumped in and froze our butts off! Haha! Maybe 45* or so in the water!! Eeek!! Lots of fun, and photos to follow but they're on my real camera so you'll have to wait til I get back to sea level at home. Umm we hung out for a little then hiked back up to the car. Lots of fun, a great workout and Marley was very brave. We told him to think he was a mountain goat..
Ummm after that we went back to town and picked up a rental car, wandered around town bought a couple touristy t-shirts.. Went back to the RV.. Showered etc and went back to town a little later and met Adam for dinner. On the way from the car to dinner Jt managed to trip on a manhole thing in the sidewalk and he sprained his ankle. Not a happy camper. Literally. Dinner was good and we went back to the RV..played cards and scrabble.
Monday we got up early and went into town for the river rafting trip we had booked. We had tons of fun, the water was chilly for sure but we didn't get too wet. Another lady who was with us totally fell in though so she was soaked...we bought the pics from this but you'll have to wait.
Umm we met Adam for lunch then went to Walmart for some stuff.. Then back to the RV for a nap. Marley met some friends and played in the pool for a while. We all took a dip but uhh didn't survive long, it was a little cool. Soo we showered and drove into town again. Met Adam and went out to this delicious restaurant with ridiculously poor service.. Then wandered around down town, lots of awesome photography stores/studios.. Went back to the RV, had a drink and gossiped then Adam left and took the rental car back for us.
I slept through a movie and woke up this morning! We slept in until 8.40!! Record sleep in!!
Marley went and played with his friends while JT cooked breakfast and I cleaned up and made the RV ready to drive again.
We headed out around 10.30, went to walmart for some towels and some other last minute things before we head to the Grand Canyon... Not sure what kind of stores and stuff we'll find there...
Now we're on the road and heading towards the 4 corners (utah, az, co, nm) then on to GrandCanyon!
Sorry for no updates sooner but I didn't have service..
